FEATURES
2026 sees the return of the all-wheel-drive Carrera 4S trim for 911 coupe, convertible, and Targa models. All 4S variants come with the 473-hp twin-turbo flat-six engine found in the rear-wheel-drive Carrera S; an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic is the only transmission available. The 4S features Porsche Traction Management, which is a rear-biased all-wheel-drive system that utilizes a water-cooled front differential and an electromagnetically controlled clutch. It also gets some bits from the previous-generation Carrera GTS, including a sport exhaust system, upgraded brakes, and uprated dampers.
The Porsche 911 also gets a couple of less substantive improvements for 2026. A reworked infotainment package expands the capabilities of the central display and adds Dolby Atmos surround sound to its already impressive Bose and Burmester sound systems. A new app center allows owners to download native software directly to the infotainment screen, and Amazon Alexa is now integrated into the existing Porsche Voice Pilot assistant. The underlying computing hardware has been fiddled with, too, making the system snappier and more responsive than before.
