Fuel Class

Fuel Class Overview

The Fuel Class categorizes BRCR’s fleet by propulsion technology, including ICE (Internal Combustion Engine), HEV (Hybrid Electric Vehicle), PHEV (Plug‑In Hybrid Electric Vehicle), and BEV (Battery Electric Vehicle). This classification helps renters quickly identify the vehicle type that best fits their performance, efficiency, and environmental requirements.

Key Features and Specifications

  • ICE (Internal Combustion Engine) — Traditional gasoline-powered vehicles offering strong performance, wide range, and fast refueling.
  • HEV (Hybrid Electric Vehicle) — Combines a gasoline engine with an electric motor for improved fuel efficiency and reduced emissions. No external charging required.
  • PHEV (Plug‑In Hybrid Electric Vehicle) — Provides an extended electric-only driving capability with a gasoline engine available for longer trips. Requires external charging for full benefits.
  • BEV (Battery Electric Vehicle) — Fully electric vehicles offering zero tailpipe emissions, quiet operation, and instant torque. Requires charging infrastructure.

Rental Experience with BRCR

Selecting a Fuel Class vehicle ensures renters receive a car aligned with their driving needs — whether maximizing efficiency, reducing emissions, or maintaining traditional performance characteristics. Each vehicle page provides detailed specs, range information, charging or refueling guidance, and availability across BRCR’s service cities. This structure allows renters to make informed decisions and ensures a consistent, transparent rental experience.
