The Mercedes-Benz G-class—sometimes called the Geländewagen or G-Wagen—isn’t the only 4×4 beast that’s transcended its humble utilitarian roots and become a celebrated token of wealth. It’s clear that these indulgent features are still adapted to fit the G’s core mission: to be one of the world’s most capable and rugged off-road vehicles.
